Main Responsibilities:
Functional Responsibilities:
- Prepares and posts accounting entries in the accounting software on a regular basis.
- Ensures accuracy and completeness of accounting transactions in accordance with financial procedures.
- Helps ensure that operations run smoothly through efficient cash-flow management, covering the fund needs of the delegation/structure.
- Keeps files up to date at all times and guarantees proper filling of relevant supporting documents for future reference, including audits.
- Performs integrity checks of accounting entries made on a regular basis.
- Participate in monthly closing activities.
- Knows, applies and complies with all administrative and financial procedures and deadlines linked to his/her work.
- Identifies anomalies or other issues and reports them to his/her supervisor.
- Applies financial procedures;
- Applies the allocation procedures;
- Respects ICRC chart of accounts when entering expenditures, incomes, transfers, etc.
- Ensures working advance to collaborators and respects ICRC standards for settlement;
- Establishes independently complete accounting documents including invoices and voucher duly stamped, approved and signed
- Performs independently the monthly closing of the accounting and sends all files on time to Kandahar SD;
- Performs independently daily cash control and issues the cash statement;
- Takes part in cash flow management under the supervision;
- Takes part in the salary management;
- Replaces the senior accountant and cashier during absences accordingly;
Additional Duties
- Follows up on all work-related messages and correspondence with the relevant contacts and departments;
- Is aware of the delegation’s objective and has a god knowledge of the Movement and other contacts relevant to the position;
- Collects and shares information so as to improve the ICRC’s understanding of the environment and humanitarian trends and responses;
- Represent the ICRC in an appropriate way during activities, in meetings and in the field, and avoids any activity that may reflect negatively on the ICRC’s image;
- Takes responsibility for their own professional learning and development;

Job Requirements
Job requirement:
- Completed secondary schooling and vocational training
- 2 years’ work experience in the similar field.
- Computer proficiency
- Good level of English
- Good Knowledge of accounting software
