Agriculture Master Trainer (Samangan, Afghanistan)


Job Description

  • Preparing the Agriculture training materials;
  • Conducting agricultural and kitchen gardening training for the FFA project beneficiary;
  • Conducting assessment and household survey to identify the project beneficiary;
  • Attending the agricultural sector meetings;
  • Conducting meetings on water and irrigation with the farmers & project beneficiaries;
  • Confirmation of project beneficiary’ associations for irrigation canals;
  • Conducting Kitchen Gardening cultivation training for the project beneficiary;
  • Conducting awareness training to the farmers about the plant diseases and disasters;
  • Giving guidance to the farmers in terms of building small greenhouses for the women;
  • Writing weekly activity report to the Project Manager;

Any other official related tasks may assign by the Project Manager.

Background

Coordination of Humanitarian Assistance (CHA) is non-governmental, non-profitable, and non-political Afghan NGO, working since 1987 mainly in agriculture, health, education, and infrastructure sectors in more vulnerable areas of the country. CHA is working through the implementation of Emergency, rehabilitation, and development projects for the emergency aid for war, famine, and natural disaster-affected families in the field, to assist with the rehabilitation of rural and urban life, and to work with communities for sustainable development in Afghanistan.

Job Requirements

Education: 

  • Bachelor’s degree in agriculture;

  Experience: 

  • Minimum of 2 years experience in relevant field;

 

Technical Skills:

  • Experience using Microsoft Office package;
  • Extensive experience writing reports;
  • Fluent in English and Dari;
  • Commitment to the mission and objectives of the project and CHA;
  • Be able to move to the field, visit all project locations, possibly new areas where CHA may plan assessments, projects.

 

      Other Skills:

  • Experience using Microsoft Office package; Fluent in English and Dari; Commitment to the mission and objectives of the projects and CHA;

  Personal Characteristics:

  • Be able to move to the field, visit all project locations, possibly new areas where CHA may plan assessments, projects.
