Job Description
SUMMARY OF KEY FUNCTIONS
Work directly with the WEE Supervisor and Sr. project officer in development women economic empowerment manual, trainings;
Provide technical support to the project team in the process of planning, implementation, monitoring, and evaluation of economic and community mobilization activities, entrepreneurship, and business development.
Develop work plan in collaboration with project team members according to the proposal
Make sure that specific project components are implemented according to contractual requirements, both in relation to project implementation and financial management
Conduct periodic assessments to ensure project implementation is happening according to the agreed upon work plans and budgets
Conduct regular field visits and discussions with staff about the entrepreneurship activities implementation process.
Provide technical inputs/ Trainings
Provide technical input on income generation activities/ micro business development/ cash for work procedures to the beneficiaries
Conduct technical trainings to the beneficiaries to implement income generating activities
Visit field locations frequently to monitor income generating/ micro business activities of the beneficiaries
Provide training on Cash for Work/ Food for Assets process and procedures;
KEY RELATIONS
Reports to the WEE Supervisor.
Keep close contact with the Senior project officer, M&E officer, VSLA officer, and other related team in CARE
Based in Kabul (Main office…) with regular visit to project covered areas.
KEY RESULT EXPECTED
Conduct market research market analysis and baseline study for the project.
Identifies business opportunities for beneficiaries.
Design coordinate and implement beneficiaries’ economic empowerment activities related to creating and implementing business and enterprises.
Generate Sales and Revenue growth path for beneficiaries.
Work closely with external partners including private sector micro finance institutions and others.
Provide plans and guidelines for beneficiary’s business development. Work closely with
Initiate and supervise capacity building and awareness raising of KWA members related to the project activities to the project participants including beneficiaries, community entities and other project stakeholders.
Contribute to project activities through sharing experiences and his/her findings
Undertake any other task assigned by the supervisor.

Job Requirements
COMPETENCE, SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
Communication and negotiation skills, business development skills, analytical thinking skills, position paper writing skill, good verbal and written communication skills, presentation skills and working in diverse team, adapt to changing context and to respond to tight deadlines
EDUCATION: Hold Bachelor’s Degree in BBA, law or Political Science, social development, Community development, sociology and socio-economic studies.
WORK EXPERIENCE:
At least three years of experience
Fluent in English (written and verbal) essential and fluency in at least one of the local languages, preferably Hausa/ Kanuri
Excellent community mobilization/ sensitization and communication skills.
Advanced computers skills at least intermediate skills in windows based word processing, spreadsheet
Ability to establish priorities, plan, coordinate and organize own work plan.
Excellent analytical, conceptual, communication and public speaking skills
Understanding of political dynamics, foreign policy decision making procedures
Ability to establish and maintain good working relations with people of different national and cultural backgrounds.
Ability to exercise independent judgment and work without direction
Excellent training skill
SKILLS: Training, Facilitation skills, business development skills, Reporting skill, Budgeting Skills, Good command of Written and spoken English, Dari and Pashto.
LANGUAGES: Fluency in written and spoken English, Dari and Pashto.
GENERAL: Under the supervision and guidance of WEE Supervisor,
TRAITS: Enthusiasm to the job, good understanding of entrepreneurship and business development issues.
