Job Summary:

The project manager is responsible for overall project management of Children on the Move project at Ghazni level where he will be responsible for proper coordination with relevant stakeholders and partners, managing office & staff, implementing project activities based on the program document, managing budget based on the allocated budget breakdown, strictly following up the work plan & action plan, technical capacity development of program staff in case management, referral services & reintegration and preparing necessary reports for the donor. Ensuring that the child protection projects are implemented according to International standards and donor requirements Key Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Oversee and control provincial office staff, events and office under the direct oversight of the Program Manager of CPSDO Represent the organization at provincial level meetings, coordination group meetings, stakeholder meetings, and other social and government meetings in the province; Develop the capacity of team members on the related technical and operational aspects of the project in the province; Manage, track, and assess project components with strategic and organizational support from the Program Manager Establishing a proper reporting mechanism for program direct staff and process flow designing Project start-up meetings and initiation with relevant partners at provincial level, ensuring proper monitoring & evaluation throughout the project, conducting site visits and smooth project closure; Identify gaps and train and develop field staff capacity to improve staff performance; Prepare internal and external reports on the progress of project activities on a regular basis. Contribute to donor reports on a quarterly basis; Managing project budgets and costs, as well as establishing responsible accountability mechanisms to ensure responsible and productive project spending; Produce and present monthly forecasts with the help of field and other project main staff; Contribute to budget creation, adjustments, and realignments; Establish monitoring and accountability mechanisms to ensure a fair and effective use of funds; Oversee the process, practices, and team efforts on all components, including Child Protection activities, livelihood activities, vocational trainings and CFS activities, assessment and market linkages, community engagement, case management, referral & specialized services, reintegration and other activities that fall under COM project components, and proper coordination with local/regional authorities, NGOs, and Donor; Monitor and consolidate information collected from weekly and staff activity reports Ensure a safe and secure working environment for project staff, with all project staff working in the best interests of the project; Develop and maintain effective working relationships with partners Develop and maintain effective and efficient oversight, support, quality control and reporting systems and processes Contribute to the development of the CP sector strategic direction for responding to children harmed and at risk of being harmed Providing guidance, coaching and supervision to the staff in emergency situation Ensure that the action plan and work plan is strictly followed, implemented and updated on regular basis Keeping strong coordination with child protection agencies and actors that work in case management Ensure that all operations and implementations are in accordance with organizational rules and policies, and align with donor requirements; Preparation of donor reports on monthly, quarterly and annual basis or any other project report Any other activities assigned by the direct supervisor

  • Bachelor degree, Master preferred At least 5 years’ experience in a similar position Proven experience in child protection case management Fluent in Dari, Pashto and English
