Background:
DAI is implementing the USAID funded Afghanistan Competitiveness of Export-Oriented Businesses Activity (ACEBA) Program. The objective of this program is to enhance capacities of Afghan exporters and micro, small, and medium-sized enterprises (MSMEs) associated with export-oriented value chains, such as carpets, marble and granite, precious stones and jewelry, textiles, and cashmere as a means of promoting sustainable economic growth and increasing employment.
Job Summary:
Purpose:
The Communications and Reporting Specialist will lead the implementation of the communications plan and oversee the sharing of information across project teams and to outside stakeholders. S/he will work closely with the project team members, and stakeholders to disseminate project information, tools, success stories and lessons learned.

Duties & Responsibilities:
Objective & Duties:
• Supports segmented communications to inform and/or incentivize behavior change
• Helps identify and implement appropriate communications campaigns to publicize and promote activities
• Monitors communications usage and results, in collaboration with M&E staff
• Organizes and supports inputs for learning/information platforms
• Writes and disseminates best practices and success stories within and outside of the project
• Ensures use of the Project web-based platforms and social media
• Designs content of project website and electronic communications in line with Branding Implementation & Marking Plan (BIMP) requirements
• Contributes to project’s monthly, quarterly, and annual reports
• Responds to data calls, requests for information and presentations by researching activities, developing presentations, press releases etc.

Qualifications:
Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree with 4 years of relevant experience or 7 years overall experience
• Ability to manage content on a website and a variety of social media platforms
• Ability to use graphics, document layout, and photo-editing software
• Demonstrated experience with diverse communications channels and products in Afghanistan
• Familiarity with various communication modes by region and gender
• Strong writing skills in English and in native languages.
• Familiarity with behavior change communications, preferred.
• Fluency in English required.
Reporting:
• The position is based in the Kabul main office and reports to the Communications and Reporting Director.
