Community Mobilizer (Badakhshan, Afghanistan)


Job Description

To ensure that the UNICEF project is executed according to the success indicators and strategic goals with transparency and effectiveness in Badakhshan province.

The Community Mobilizers will report to Project Manager. The Community Mobilizers will work 6 days per week from Saturday to Thursday(s) from 08:00am to 04:00pm (longer working hours may be required according to work-load).

Background

Vision Development Organization (VDO)  is an independent, social and legal non-profit, non-political and non-governmental organization established in January 07,  2015. The organization is established and run by an Afghan woman with a strong and committed team to respond to the development needs of Afghanistan such as: Legal, educational, advocacy, human rights, environmental, health, and economical Perspectives. VDO is committed to work for the welfare and progress of society with a focus on abovementioned areas. VDO will be executing a project on raising awareness, establishing safe space, trainings, establishing network of youth both girls and boys in Badakhshan province  by UNICEF.    

Job Requirements

Duties & Responsibilities

Scope of the Assignment (Including but not limited to) Programmatic area: The community mobilizers will assist hygiene promotor and mobilize communities specially women and girl for conducting hygiene awareness, MHM training in the field level and adjusting her/his activities in close coordination with provincial focal point. and mobilizes communities special women for awareness raising of women, girls, and families on COVID-19, nutrition and menstrual hygiene management for 130860 women and girls in Badakhshan. The team consist of one social worker and a community mobilizer will work together for the awareness sessions (2 community mobilizers in one provinces).
