Job Description

Duties and Responsibilities: 

  • Facilitate community mapping and mobilization through ensuring participation of all level of people; Arrange community meetings with elders, community leaders, and local stakeholders; Provide support to surveyor/enumerator, team leader, M&E officer and project manager. Ensure that the project community mobilization strategy/ indicators/ activities are successfully implemented Facilitate undertaking baseline and needs assessment surveys for different program sectors in collaboration with the CDCs in target villages Facilitate the beneficiary selection process to project Enumerator/Surveyor Facilitate all internal and external monitoring and evaluation processes required inputs in the target communities. Work with the people to ensure that the project is responding to identified needs and have the full participation of the community Facilitate contacts for the complaint mechanism with the concerned community members in the target villages and address any social issue/problem hampering the project implementation To act as the accurate and reliable information source for all program sectors in terms of village directions, community profile, the background of the target villages, social and cultural practices, people beliefs and customs and so on. Preparation of weekly and monthly activity plan. Develop good networking with communities in the working environment. Assist technical staff in social issues and solving community problems faced during project implementation. Participates in weekly meetings and daily planning meetings.
  • Assist the M&E team in conducting the Post Distribution Monitoring (PDM) of each intervention.
  • Preparing weekly and monthly plans and reports. Holding detailed beneficiary lists, including secondary data and other documents about them. Develop and maintain an organized filing system. Any other duty assigned by the Project Manager

The head office of the organization is located in Kabul, Afghanistan, and delivers humanitarian services in the sectors of WASH, Good governance, Emergency, and Livelihood through its four regional offices in Mazar, Herat, Jalalabad, and central zone in a decentralized manner. This project, which is planned to be implemented by RRAA, is a UNICEF funded project providing Cash assistance on monthly basis to the most vulnerable households in Qala e Naw, Qadis, Moqour and Ab Kamari districts of Badghis province.

Job Requirements

  • High School graduated, Bachelor’s Degree is preferable Minimum two years working experience in the community mobilization process. Experience in Badghis province and neighbouring provinces Ability to work with data collection/KOBO tools Good report and planning skills Proficiency with local language Work experience with community-based projects Ability to travel to the project sites within the assigned villages/ district Must be capable of working both individually and as part of a team to undertake tasks in a fast-paced environment. Must be flexible, willing to perform urgent task when needed in informal time. Excellent interpersonal skills, including patience, diplomacy, willingness to listen and respect for project beneficiaries.
