Scope of work:

The Data Management Assistant is the Men Engagement in Maternal and Child Health Care  (MEMCH) project team member who will closely work with the field supervisors and Counsellors to ensure accurate data collection and record in accordance with the project need and objective.

She/he will work with cooperation of the project management team to keep the project data base updated. Analyze the data and generated report out of it when required. She/he will be closely working  with Health Facility’s as well as other Health (Sehatmandi) and MEMCH Staff.

To enter project data into the new developed database system.
Assist team in data collection and compilation of district level Local Government advocacy coordination members meeting & HFs staff working groups activities.
Collect, compile & analyze project data for quarterly bases. support counselling sessions on monthly and quarterly basis.
Support the District counsellors, CHWs.
support the (District LGAs meeting) in the implementation of their responsibilities as per the database.
Assist in Providing the IEC on men engagement and disseminate to the HFs and CHW.
help CHS and CHWs for supporting referral system of Pregnant women and with children under – 2 years, to the HFs through CHWs.
Support any of the Surveys in accurate data collection as and when needed.
Ensure effective record keeping and inventory of all amenity’s activities and office level as well.
Act according to the policy and regulation of SCA.
Keep updated with MEMCH Project activities and the environment where SCA operates.
Promote an environment of team spirit and to focus strongly on quality of men engagement in Maternal and child health care.
Working in co-operational manner with Health Facility staff and authorities.
Doing any other tasks assigned by Project manager and Project officer.
Conduction of on the job trainings during each supervision for staff for proper data collection and repotting.
Participate as facilitator in Men engagement trainings in close coordination with project officer.

Job Requirements

Job Requirements:

Graduated from recognized University (faculty of Computer Science or Economics).
At least 2 years’ Experience in field of data management with an NGO, UN agencies or similar organization.
Familiarity with trainings/ Mentoring and data collection/management.
Diploma and experience in Ms Office  package  (particularly in Microsoft office).
Effective team player and familiarity with the context.
Familiarity with trainings/ Mentoring and data management of the trainings.
Knowledgeable skills in English, able to speak and write Dari and Pashto, strong reporting writing skill.
Interpersonal and communication skills
Supervisory, team worker, analytical, and troubleshooting skills
Experience of planning and reporting.
Ability and willingness to travel to the project sites and adjust to SCA environment.
Honest proactive and well mannered.
