Job Description

Coordination, technical support and operational monitoring

  • Participates in the design of technical agricultural support activities (seeds, tools, livestock, irrigation, disaster risk reduction, etc.) Monitor the development of current food security and livelihoods programs (progress, suitability and effectiveness) Develops technical guidance on methodologies of implementation of agricultural activities (agriculture, livestock and irrigation) and ensure projects adherence to technical guidelines Support the teams on site, by regularly visiting intervention sites planned with the Program coordinator, pre-empting problems and listening to the teams Ensure that local communities are closely involved in project implementation and that the relationship between Solidarités International and local communities remains harmonious, together with field managers and Program coordinator Together with the program coordinator, be involved in the review and follow up of the different operational follow ups.

Project quality

  • To help in ensuring the quality of implemented projects through reporting follow up, results monitoring, context monitoring, lessons learned and knowledge management, tools development and trainings To work closely with the project field officers and the program coordinator in coordinating information exchange and timely support.
  • Collect information from the bases and assist in the quality analysis of the activities carried out with the Program Coordinator

Strategic orientation

  • The Program Coordinator Deputy takes part to the development and implementation of Solidarités International technical strategy in the country.
  • To participate in preparation of assessment methodology and reporting formats as specified in the Tool Box to ensure timely and high quality information analysis and recommendation To participate in humanitarian needs identification and analysis and in the conceptualization of appropriate activities in collaboration with targeted communities To participate in and draft project ideas, concept notes and proposals for funding.

Knowledge management

  • Reporting: To ensure that project files are complete and regularly updated with periodic reporting and monitoring information and communications. Coordination: To participate in information collection, through development of a network of humanitarian stakeholders

Reporting / communication / representation

  • To prepare project and program periodic and other reports as necessary, together with analysis and recommendations

Compile the activity sheets provided in the Tool box form the different bases Participate to the Consolidation …activity…   activity reports and supervise the preparation annexes linked to …activity…   activities for reports and/or financial donors with the Program Coordinator· Participate to the Validation of technical expertise reports

  • Represent the organization when asked and/or delegated to do so In conjunction with the Program Coordinator, establish and maintain a communication network and good relations with local/government authorities, financial donor representatives, UN agencies and other international agencies

· Ensure with the Program Coordinator that SI is represented at all meetings or forums concerning …activity…   activities

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor in statistics, IT, sociology, mathematics, or any other related field Having at least 1 years of experience in information management related activities Extensive knowledge in data analysis and visualization Knowledge in monitoring tools and methodologies Autonomous and quick learner Proficiency in MS office and Kobo Strong organizational, analytical and interpersonal skills Strong verbal and written communication skills in Pashto, Dari and English Able to adjust her/his self with different environment Ability to work under pressure
