Functional Responsibilities:

Drives trucks and other vehicles in strict adherence to internal security rules and national traffic laws, drives efficiently to minimize fuel consumption and use of material.
Adapts the way of driving and driving speed to the national traffic laws, Fleet regulations, weather and road conditions.
Drives in safe, responsible and accident free manner.
Checks assigned vehicle/trailer`s equipment and general functioning of road safety critical components: brake system, power steering system, suspension system, tyres and visibility (windscreen, wipers and lights condition).
Constantly monitors security conditions on the road.
Is accountable for the cargo under their supervision, from signing of the waybill to delivery.
Loads and unloads the truck or supervises loading and unloading.
Ensures that goods are stored inside the vehicle according to local, international and ICRC safety standards (attachment and distribution of goods, use of pallets, etc.)
Checks their assigned vehicle(s) equipment, general functioning and body condition and ensures that it is kept fuelled and clean inside and out.
Makes sure that the assigned vehicle is equipped with all the relevant and updated vehicle documentation.
Checks that trips have been authorized where necessary.
Immediately reports accidents, defects and/or missing equipment to management.
Can act as head of convoy as needed (in charge of the driver(s), application of security rules and time-frame for the convoy)

Job Requirements

Job Requirements:

Driving license cat. B, C, D and E and license to put 40-MT trailers held for at least five years.
Previous experience with 4WD and 6WD vehicles is an asset.
Armored vehicle driving experiences is an asset.
Good knowledge of national road grid. Ring Road 1 experience is essential.
Good knowledge of Dari and Pashtu.
Basic knowledge (spoken and written) of English.
Secondary school diploma will be an asset.
