Job Description:General Position Summary: The Guard will work closely with the support staff and be vigilant and remain at post at all times. She will prohibit non-MC vehicles from entering the compound and patrol around the compound during the night duty.
  Essential Job Functions: 

  • Be vigilante at all times – including, night shifts; (guards sleeping on duty will be terminated immediately)  Remain at post at all times – including when on gate duty; Prohibit non-MC vehicles from entering the compound or parking within 50 meters of the premises; Receive visitors; issue visitors’ cards and maintain log register for the incoming visitors. Notify appropriate Mercy Corps staff member of arrivals. Maintain records of the gate passes at the gate Maintain log register for the vehicles going out/coming in after regular working hours and during week ends/holidays. Cleaning of office as and when assigned by the supervisor Maintain the tidiness of the office outdoor premises. Adhere to all MC safety protocols and policies; Ensure flashlights and radio are always in good working order and that you have a good supply of spare batteries. Respond to routine radio checks from Head Guard or appointee. Conduct himself/herself both professionally and personally in such a manner as to bring credit to Mercy Corps and to not jeopardize its humanitarian mission. Other duties as assigned. Conduct body search of all female aiming to enter Mercy Corps compound.

  Knowledge and Experience:

  • Must possess High school certificate   She should be responsible and punctual At least 2 to 3 years of relevant working experiences with national or international organization. Fluent in Dari, Pashto, English is desired. Must be initiative and trustworthy
