Field Admin/Finance Officer (Subject to Donor Approval) (Zabul, Afghanistan)


Job Description

Finance and Admin Officer performs a variety of administrative and financial tasks. Their duties include coordinating daily financial tasks, processing invoices and payroll and maintaining a digital record of financial documents. Admin/Finance Officer will be responsible for daily tasks of Finance and Admin at provincial level (Zabul) they will contribute to CiC – STREET CHILD by providing support and working based on Main Finance and Admin department instruction. The Finance and Admin Officer will ensure that all the activities are in full compliance with CiC – STREET CHILD Financial and Procurement manual and guidelines. Key Responsibilities: Generic Responsibilities: A strong commitment to Street Childs vision, mission and values. Adhere to all Street Child’s policies and procedures. Able to represent Street Child appropriately both internally and externally. Carry out all reasonable requests that are within the broad remit of the role.

Responsible for day-to-day financial transactions record keeping.

Responsible for collecting and checking all financial vouchers and supporting documents.

Responsible for maintaining and proper filing of provincial office financial vouchers.

Responsible for preparing Payment request forms for financial vouchers.

Check that receipts are correctly authorized, coded and presented. Ensure that adequate explanations are provided in English to satisfy audit requirements.

Ensure that all bank and cash transactions are made after review and approval of Line Manager.

Responsible for preparation of complete payment vouchers and cash verification forms.

Help HR in preparation of monthly payroll.

Responsible for banking and keeping petty cash and preparing bank and cash reconciliation.

Prepare taxi slips and kitchen expenditure records.

Organizing and storing paperwork, documents and computer-based information.

Photocopying and filing of bills.

Administrative Related Duties and Responsibilities:

Analysis of monthly attendance and leave sheets.

Preparation of ID cards and business cards.

Management of cook and cleaner.

The arrangement of internal travel including booking flights and collecting tickets.

Updating the inventory list.

Distribution of Stationery and office kits.

Implementation and adhere to the organization’s financial procedures and policies.

Other related tasks as needed.

Job Requirements

Experience and Knowledge:

Bachelor degree in Business Administration, Public Administration, or Accounting and economic.

1-2 year’s relevant experience on financial management, administrative management, communications, reporting, or other related task ideally with Admin and Finance.

Meticulous attention to detail and ability to perform tasks with accuracy and efficiency in mind.

Excellent analytical skills and financial prowess.

High levels of integrity and ability to handle confidential information.

Skills and Abilities:

Knowledge of Administration and Finance.

Knowledge of written and spoken English, Pashto and Dari are required.

Ability to maintain effective working relationships with other staff.

Working knowledge of sophisticated statistical date and spreadsheets.

Ability to keep confidential documents and office confidentiality.

Ability to work in a multicultural environment and to demonstrate gender-sensitive and non-discriminatory behaviour and attitudes.

Ability and willingness to multi-task and work under pressure.

Good organizational and time-management skills.

Strong team player with solid communication skills.

Willingness and ability to travel in province.
