Job Description
- Protect CPMO property and staff by maintaining a safe and secure environment. Observe for signs of crime or disorder and investigate disturbances. Act lawfully in direct defense of life or property. Apprehend criminals and evict violators. Take accurate notes of unusual occurrences. Report in detail any suspicious incidents. Patrol randomly or regularly building and perimeter. Monitor and control access at building entrances and vehicle gates. Watch alarm systems or video cameras and operate detecting/emergency equipment. Perform first aid or cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR). Support the Security Officer of CPMO on security related issues as requested. Monitor the security atmosphere in the CPMO building. Prepare and submit reports on minor cases of theft, illegal entry, assault, or other incidents. Perform other security related duties as assigned.
Background
The National Water Affairs Regulation Authority (NWARA), Islamic Republic of Afghanistan has received four grants under the Agriculture and Natural Resources (ANR) sector portfolio of ADB. NWARA has established a Central Program Management Office (CPMO) to centralize and streamline the activities under these grants. The CPMO handles procurement, project administration, contract management etc. for the projects financed under the Grants. The Guard will provide a wide range of security support services for CPMO and will develop and maintain efficient office systems and procedures. The Guard will support Administration Unit of CPMO in admin related activities. The Guard will report to the Sr. Admin Manager/Security Officer.
Job Requirements
- The candidate should have high school degree. Proven work experience as a security guard or relevant position. Minimum two years of work experience as a security guard Ability to operate detecting systems and emergency equipment. Excellent knowledge of public safety and security procedures/protocols. Surveillance skills and detail orientation. Integrity and professionalism. Strong problem-solving and conflict resolution skills. Familiarity with the culture and ability to communicate effectively with people. Ability to anticipate, identify, analyze, and mitigate risks.
