Look after the security and safety of staff, visitors, offices and the relevant assets.
 Make sure that offices and rooms are cleaned & properly locked after the official working hours and cared at nights and weekends/holidays.
Make sure all electrical equipment and machinery in the office are switched-off after the official time.
 Conduct vehicles mirror check in order to make sure that DCA and none DCA vehicles are clear and safe from explosive and any other harmful substances (if applicable).
Maintain and update register book of visitors in office entrance/exit gates.
Maintain and update visitors register books.
Search the visitors politely and register them without discriminate before entering to the DCA facilities.
 Make proper registration of staff coming to the office in weekends and other off-days.
 Make sure that all visitors and labors visiting DCA office have visitor cards before entering the office compound (if applicable).
Make sure that no one can expel assets from DCA facilities without authorized gate pass.
 In case of need helping in loading and unloading of items in the office.
 In case of changing the duty a written note including the name of the guards and changed dates should be presented to province in-charge.
Any other tasks assigned by the line manager.

DCA Livestock – Background

DCA Livestock Programs is a Dutch foundation and responsible for the International Non-Governmental Organization DCA in Afghanistan The INGO develops and implements veterinary and livestock (development aid) projects in Afghanistan since 1988 for several international donor organizations (e.g. Europaid, USAID, IFAD and WB).

Since 2017, the foundation is registered in The Netherlands as DCA Livestock Programs (before DCA-VET). In Afghanistan, registration took place in 2005 at the Ministry of Economy, under the name of DCA. The Board of the foundation, based in the Netherlands, has the end-responsibility and supervises the foundation.

Mission DCA

DCA Livestock Programs recognizes that the dependence of the Afghan farmers on livestock offers promising opportunities to lift them from poverty. Therefore, it is our mission:

“to reduce poverty and increase food security for the people of Afghanistan by improving the health and production of their livestock.”

Job Requirements

Job Requirements:

To be local of the province,
Completed at least 9 classes with good level of literacy.
At least 2-years experience of working in similar duties,
Proven service management experience of working with NGO and similar offices.
Respectful and polite,
Healthy, committed, no criminal case and able to present written guarantee from reliable person/office,
Experienced and clever enough to watch after the office with desired care,
Fluent in Dari with a bit of English skills,
Willing to stay overnights and look after the office and properties,
