To ensure that all Computer/communication systems in the hotel provide as near as possible uninterrupted service to all departments. To provide technical assistance and advice to the hotel management. To assist other departments to get the best out of the hotel’s computer/communication systems

- To ensure that any preventive maintenance required by any computer/communication equipment in the hotel is carried out at the correct time. To coordinate the timely repair and return to service of any faulty systems or items of equipment. To ensure the continuous availability of a hierarchy to deal with an emergency in any essential computer/communication system. To ensure the availability of any stationery or consumables required by any computer/communication system. To establish procedures to ensure the backup of data in any computer/communication system. To establish procedures to ensure the protection of computer/communication system from virus, malicious codes and other intrusion attacks. To rebuild data corrupted by either hardware or software faults. To provide technical assistance to internal or external Audit staff. To advise the management of the hotel on additional facilities which could be provided by either existing or further computer/communication systems and technological advances. To coordinate the investigation and timely handling of software fault reports or enhancement requests. To set up emergency procedures to continue the operation of the hotel in the event of a systems failure. To assist other departments to train their employees in the effective use of any computer/communication systems. To provide manuals on the use of any computer/communication systems and incorporate those manuals into the relevant operating procedures of the hotel. To be fully aware of the hotel’s policies and procedures and to adhere to them. To have a complete understanding of the hotel’s policy relating to fire, safety and health. To have a complete understanding of the hotel’s employee handbook and adhere to the regulations contained therein. To carry out any other reasonable duties and responsibilities as assigned. To respond to changes in departmental functions as dictated by the hotel.
REQUIRED SKILLS & ABILITIES: You will need to be firm and organized to work in IT department. Other skills that will help you in the job include:

The ability to work under pressure and to deadlines . Knowledge of Networking and Database. Good memory of how software and operating systems work. problem-solving skills. A strong customer focus. Very good Knowledge & experience in Network (Routers, Network Protocols, VPN, Load balancing, Voip. etc) using Cisco and Linux platform including installation and configuration. Excellent knowledge of L2, L3 switches, VOIP.
- Education/Qualification: Master of Computer Science. Certifications: Comptia+, CCNA or HCIA minimum | preferences include MCP, MCSA, MCSE, ITIL foundation. Experience: IT, Software and Network in reputable organization. Capable of managing Windows Servers, Operating Systems and especially Network. Understanding the disaster recovery.
