Job Description
Key responsibilities and tasks:
Planning:
Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual plan according to livelihood component of the project.
Revise the plans whenever required.
Manage the livelihood component of the project:
Ensure the implementation of the livelihoods component of the program against annual work-plan, targets, time-plans and result indicators.
Conduct and regularly update the market assessment for the livelihood activities.
Set clear procedures, identifying objectives and needs for marketing opportunities.
Provide technical support to the project team and community mobilizers to identify the livelihood needs of the people with psychosocial disability.
Lead the selection process of the beneficiaries for livelihood activities (i.e. selection criteria, coordination, physical verification etc.).
Develop follow up/support plans with selected beneficiaries.
Conducting marketing trainings to the beneficiaries.
Advise the beneficiaries for market demands products.
Contribute to the sales and marketing plan of the beneficiaries.
Facilitate the in-kind distributions to the beneficiaries and ensure that community leaders are fully involved over the process.
Network with services providers:
Develop mapping of the existing services providers on livelihood and build linkage with them.
Arrange meetings with the local Shura and other stakeholders to coordinate the livelihood activities.
Develop joined plans between beneficiaries and the services providers for skills development and setting up the livelihood activities.
Support the services providers to adjust their working environment for inclusion of people with psychosocial disability.
Creating and developing new innovative ways to communicate the beneficiary’s messages to their existing customers.
Monitoring and reporting:
Develop internal monitoring and operational plans for the livelihood activities.
Monitor marketing trends and competition activities and propose counter actions.
supervise the process the beneficiary selection.
Monitor field-based implementation of the livelihood activities, including providing guidance to field staff on livelihood interventions.
Ensure systematic documentation and filing.
Provide inputs and feedback to reporting.
Background
The International Assistance Mission is a non-profit charitable organization through which staff from the Islamic Nation of Afghanistan and International Christian volunteers serve in partnership to build capacity in the sectors of health and development working together for the welfare of the people of Afghanistan.

Education:
University degree
Short-term trainings on management will be considered as added value to the qualification.
