Job Description
- She/he will conduct beneficiary profile survey and any other survey research or study on the subject. Conduct assessment and selection of livestock products by the joint assessment with project stakeholders. The livestock officer will work as part of the project management team under supervision and guidance of project coordinator at provincial level and district level. Develop action plan on livestock and animal husbandry activities accordingly to the project core plan including planning for training, support to VFUs and input distribution. Adopt technical training materials and presentations on Animal husbandry and livestock production. Establish livestock producer groups form men and women beneficiates Provide livestock and product processing trainings to the selected beneficiaries and livestock producers groups. Ensure proper selection of household and distribute livestock inputs with necessary technical support and extension services to the producers. Ensure close communication and coordination with project team district authorities an DAIL through regular visits participation in meeting organize joint field visits and submission of report. Provide inputs distribution plans and reports and sharing to the project coordinator. Support project team, Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) and project coordinator in the implantation/ pursuing project specific and other activities as and when necessary. Perform other tasks as required and requested by supervisor

Job Requirements
- Possess at least a BSc degree livestock At least 5 years of working experience. Good knowledge of cold storage used in Afghanistan and be experienced in nursery establishment. Evidence of a highly developed computer literacy Candidate must have good communication skills and should speak and write in English language. Knowledge of Dari and Uzbaki language will be an added value. She/he should have experience of working in complex political emergencies or post conflict context. Reporting writing skills Committed and honest in his/her work Ability to provide technical supervision, motivate and train project staff and farmers.
