Job Description

Respect AYSO rules and regulations pertaining to staff. Provision of antenatal, natal, postnatal and family planning services. Attend normal delivery. Detection, counseling’s and referral of GBV cases. Provision of psychosocial, health and referral services. PLW screening for nutritional status assessment. Provide first ANC, other ANCs PNC, delivery and family planning services to the clients. Dispose of all sharp and glass waste in a safe manner according to the guidelines. Provide health education to Health facility client especially for pregnant and lactating women over a number of topics including vaccination, preparation for delivery, breastfeeding, infant care, contraception, Covid-19, Nutrition, and etc. Logging and maintaining of all relevant registers. Attend training and workshops organized by AYSO even if it is outside of the normal working hours. Help male doctor with doing gynecologic examination. Assist the vaccinator in routine vaccination sessions. Maintain a good level of hygiene. Preparation of monthly, quarterly and ad-hoc report to HF in-charge and PM. Other tasks which assign by line manager.

Background

Afghan Youth Services Organization (AYSO) is a non-governmental, non-political and non-profit organization registered in 2006 with the Ministry of Economy of Afghanistan. AYSO since its establishment successfully implemented numerous humanitarian projects in urban, semi-urban, and rural areas with different geographical, demographic, and security situations in several provinces of the country. AYSO has been implementing projects such as Health, Education, Capacity Building, Behavior Change, Social Development, Youth Wellbeing, Gender Equality & Equity, Charity, Emergency Aid, Peace & Youth, Researches, Assessments, Studies and Surveys for the different thematic areas. AYSO through the implementation of the numerous humanitarian projects reached the most vulnerable segments of the societies such as; children, women, youth, elders, IDPs, disability and mobile populations, either through its developmental projects or by raising awareness on their rights through IEC/BCC channels, short term courses, seminars and workshops in urban, semi-urban and rural areas. AYSO geographically covers all 34 provinces of the country through either one or more of the above humanitarian services

Job Requirements

Must completed midwifery training at a recognized institute Must be fluent in local languages Must have previous MCH experience at least for 2 years. Ability to travel remote areas and districts.

Working knowledge of English is desirable
