Position Overview

The Provincial M&E Assistant will Provide support to Monitoring, Evaluation and Learning officer to collect data from various sources and enter the data in the project databases for processing and management. Also support the team to ensure data quality.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

Preparing and sorting documents for data entry
Entering data into database and checking to ensure the accuracy of the data that has been inputted
Resolving and alerting discrepancies in information and obtaining further information for incomplete documents
Generating from databases and compiled data at provincial level and health facility level
Reports’ review and verification of data at provincial level
Provide timely related activities feedback to the team
Review data for deficiencies or errors, correct any incompatibilities if possible and check output at the central level and provincial level
Enquiry and obtain further information for incomplete documents
Respond to queries for information and access relevant files
Comply with data integrity and security policies
Take part in data review meeting at provincial level
Keep information confidential
Scan documents and print files, when needed

Required Qualifications:

Holding bachelor’s degree
Minimum two years of relevant experience
Working experience in health projects would be on advantage
Experience working with Microsoft Office software applications (Excel, Word, Outlook Explorer, Power Point, Access)
Flexibility and ability to change gears to meet tight deadlines
Spoken and written competence in Dari and/or Pashto
Good command of written and spoken English
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
Ability and willingness to travel inside Afghanistan and overseas as requested.
