Job Description
Job Summary:
Under the direct supervision of State Lawsuits General Director (GSLD) and AJO Assistant Program Manager, the successful candidate will technically support the General State Cases General Directorate of Ministry of Justice on organizational and staff capacity development.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- To provide technical support and build the professional capacity of the professional staff of GSLD.
- To provide technical support in building an effective institutional framework with sufficient capacity to manage the GSLD.
- To provide technical assistance/support to effectively and efficiently move the GSLD toward its strategic goals and objectives.
- To improve organizational capacity, assist GSLD to develop effective organizational planning mechanisms, including guidelines comprised of the required tools, templates, and formats.
- To Organize and conduct training for the GSLD professional staff to enable them to achieve the GSLD’s relevant goals and objectives effectively and efficiently to ensure better performance.
- To identify staff capacity building problems and challenges at GSLD and provincial sub-directorates and conduct the training plans accordingly.
- To participate in technical meetings of the GSLD in particular concerning the staff capacity building.
- To meet tight deadlines given by the GSLD and AJO management.
- Travel to provinces for conducting training programs when needed.
- To perform any other tasks assigned by the GSLD and AJO Management.

Job Requirements
Qualification, Experience and Skills:
- 3 to 5 years progressive experience working with Afghanistan Justice Institutions in particular the ministry of justice.
- Familiar with the Court system of Afghanistan in particular the Public Rights Division
- Having capacity building skills and experiences are necessary.
- Ability to communicate with and advise senior government officials related to capacity building programs and coordinating of training activities.
- Strong ability to design, develop and deliver capacity building related training programs.
- Strong interpersonal skills and understand government working procedures.
- Excellent training and mentoring skills
Qualifications:
- 3 to 5 years’ working experience in issues relating to legal frameworks with legal and judiciary institutions of Afghanistan focused on staff capacity development areas such as organizational development, policy and procedures development, training design and implementation.
Education:
- Master degree in Law/Sharia from a recognized university, preference will be given to additional degree in Public Administration or Business Management.
Language Skills:
- Excellent command of written and spoken languages (Dari and Pashto).
- Good English language skills both written and speaking, Good communication skills in particular working with government officials.
