Job Description

  • Issued request for quotes for small procurement to local vendors and initiate the procurement action. Monitor, track and expedite procurement activities and delivery status of goods/services. Conduct market research in preparation for local procurement of goods and services for the project Prepare request for quotations (RFQ) and proposals (RFP) and send to Sr. Procurement specialist for review. Provide assistance with preparation of bids packages for evaluation committees Negotiation of prices and contracts with vendors. Correspond with vendors to address and resolve invoice discrepancies. Follow with finance department and to ensure that vendors payments are process on time. Prepare and maintain vendor trackers for all goods and services. Maintain a good filing system. Perform other related duties as assigned.

Job Requirements


  • DBA, 14 Grade in social science or any other relevant field Bachelor’s degree in the relevant field is preferable.


  • At least 2 years work experience in the procurement, contracts, and/or grants management field, preferably with international donor-funded projects, UN agencies, USAID or on relevant programs in Afghanistan.


  • Fluency in English, Pashto, and Dari. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Computer literate with e-mail, word processing and spreadsheet.

Ability to design database and prepare meaningful reports.
