Job Summary:

AFGA administers projects in provinces outside of Kabul. The organization is recruiting four Project Assistants based in (Badakhshan, Kandahar, Laghman and Kuanr) to act as the intermediary between the main office and field AFGA community outreach midwives.

 

Job Description:

Plan activities with Program Manager/Project Coordinator based in Kabul;
Assist in implementation of project activities in accordance with the work plan
Prepare administrative documents, collect and compile inputs to documents
Assist in procurement processes for conference/seminar services or other procurement actions foreseen in projects.
Co-ordinate AFGA’s activities with local provincial authorities including obtaining permits, attending meetings, and reporting;
Receive family planning commodities, keep safe and distribute to AFGA community outreach midwives in targeted areas of the province.
Carry out the monitoring and supervisory visits from AFGA community outreach midwifes in targeted areas of the province.
Collect monthly reports and time sheets from AFGA community outreach midwives and send it to main office.
Prepare and submit the monthly activity report and action plan to project coordinator.
Guide AFGA staff in the province and solve the problem as needed.
Maintain the project filing system
Carry out the reasonable activities that the program manager requests.

About Afghan Family Guidance Association |AFGA:

Afghan Family Guidance Association (AFGA) is an Afghan non-governmental, not-for-profit and non-political organization established in 1968. AFGA has been working in the field of Reproductive health and Rights since its inception and has recently become an associate member of International Planned Parenthood Federation (IPPF).

AFGA activities were suspended due to war and conflict in the country for ten years (1992-2002) and resumed its activities in 2002 with financial support from International Planned Parenthood Federation (IPPF).

IPPF is an alliance of 151 family planning associations known as Member Associations which has projects in over 180 countries. IPPF continues to be the largest civil society provider of reproductive health information and services in the world.

Job Requirements

Job Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree  in management or relevant fields.
A minimum of 1 years’ experience in an office environment;
Fluency at local languages and basic knowledge of English language;
Basic Computer skill.
Good communication skill.
