Job Summary
The project lead has primary responsibility for the design and implementation of the related projects performance against established goals and objectives. S/he ensures that Clinics are providing effectively and efficiently services within establishes curriculum. In addition, the position holder manages all Project activities related to donor funded projects. The project lead is responsible for the preparation of the quarterly and annual reports for MSI highlighting best practices and approaches for reaching populations of interest for the projects. The post involves extensive national travel and occasional international travel.
Duties & Responsibilities
The project lead will be responsible for examining whether progress so far has led to the project objectives and outcomes.
Examine if project progress is against the objectives of the project and make sure whether the project activities have led to a beneficial development in terms of income generation, gender equality and women’s empowerment, improved governance etc…
Suggest measures to improve the project’s development impact, including gender equality and women’s empowerment.
Review the extent to which the implementation of the project sites has been including the relevant stakeholders and to which it has been able to create collaboration between different partners. Also, Identify opportunities for stronger substantive partnerships.
Manage the project sites in accordance with the adopted logic frame.
Review the problem addressed by the project and the underlying the solutions.
Maintain the project activities with multi-tasking team member.
Review how the project addresses country/ program priorities.
Monthly cost analyses of each clinic provide feedback to clinic in-charges/provincial coordinators and clinics to control cost.
Forecast and plan the number of services, revenue and quality targets.
Insure MSIA project sites to meet the highest standards.
Ensure high quality medical supplies are supplied to MSI: A clinics/project sites.
Provide monthly/quarterly report of actual Vs plan and propose smart solution to the operation manager.
Working closely with operation manager to prepare the project reports.
Participation in project related activities meeting in MoPH and other sectorial ministries.
Providing technical and management support to the project sites and team.
Obtain and analyze regular client feedback from Health Support Team
Coordinate project activities with teams and review the monthly performance of the project sites.
Provide project codes and review monthly calming forms related to project sites
All the clinics under your leadership should strictly follow government policies and guideline.
Monitoring client flow ensuring prompt health services are provided to clients.
Encourage staff to provide timely report to MSIA Head Office
Provide input on business plan, strategic plan and attend various meetings as required.
Any other project related task that could be requested by line manager.
The provincial coordinators and clinics should be fully informed of the developments.
Monitor their productivity in FP and PAC in the project sites.
Ensure their income growth is increasing periodically during the project time
Coordinate the quality assurance with the Health Support Team
Background
Marie Stopes International Afghanistan commenced its programme after registration with the government of Afghanistan in August 2002. MSIA follows the global mission statement children by choice not by chance. Our focus is to reduce maternal mortality by providing quality and sustainable MCH/RH services and information in 14 Provinces in coordination with the Ministry of Public Health, Afghanistan.
The primary responsibility of this role is to further MSI Afghanistan mission of ensuring the individual’s right to: CHILDREN BY CHOICE NOT CHANCE

Job Requirements
Advanced degree in Business Administration / MD
3- 5 years Proven experience in maintaining project events and operations within project’s framework.
Solid experience in project management and working in collaborative environment.
Business development experiences, including Human Resource Management, Recruitment, and Procurement experiences
Ability to influence others within the organization while being open to other people’s views through negotiation skills
Demonstrated experience in preparing and monitoring internal procedures for adherence to regulations and policies related to projects.
Demonstrated experiences about report writing and data analysis skills
