Project Manager (Herat, Afghanistan)

The Project Manager will

Work under NCRO Program ManagerBe responsible for actual project implementation in the field.Supervise daily project activities and maintain updated documents.Apply the work plans, oversee activity progress, and present periodic activity progress reports;Have direct and clear communication with field staff.Lead, supervise, control, and motivate field teams.Ensure staff clear understanding of objectives and effective performance.Maintain effective coordination with all relevant stakeholders at the project site.Monitors all project activities.Participate in humanitarian response meetings.Participate in all emergency response assessments.Timely visits from project site and project beneficiaries.

New Consultancy and Relief Organization (‘NCRO) was established to serving the needy Afghans, particularly Afghan Returnees from neighboring countries and internally displaced persons IDPs due to natural disasters or internal conflicts in the country. Its staff is mobilized daily to cover the basic needs of civilian victims endangered, excluded by the effects of natural disasters, wars and situations of economic collapse. NCRO is a fully voluntary organization and provides services to the aforementioned categories of people, irrespective of gender, race, language or geographical locations. It operates in the areas of food security, shelter, nutrition, rehabilitation of infrastructure, water and sanitation and economic recovery.

Education:

Higher education in related fields

Years of Experience:

Minimum 5 years of related work experience. Preference will be given to candidates having work experience in similar activities in one of the NCRO projects.  

Able to work in all parts of Cheshti Sharif, Pashtoon Zarghon, Farsi, and Zenda Jan districts of Herat Province

Fluent in Dari and Pashto and English.
Computer skill.
Rigorous, Autonomous, and Adaptable.
Stress Resistant
