Job Summary:

Responsible for the overall management of the project, coordination with project stakeholders, and monitoring and controlling project progress 

Duties & Responsibilities: 

  • Plan, execute and facilitate the project interventions strictly according to the approved work plan and timeframe. 
  • Manage resources and coordinate efforts of the team members to deliver the SEARCH Covid-19 project effectively and efficiently. 
  • • Ensure that the project meets the stipulated and expected results of the project by overseeing the quality control of the whole project cycle. 
  • Plan and follow successful delivery of the COVID-19 awareness project activities in targeted districts of provinces of Kabul, Panjshir, Kapisa, Herat, Nangarhar, Balkh, Paktia, Bamyan, and Kandahar. 
  • Work with team and communities to develop appropriate prevention and awareness-raising in the targeted provinces.
  • Effectively Communicate with DoPHs in the targeted provinces, Donors, clients, and other stakeholders to create a supportive environment at the line department and community level for effective implementation of project planned activities.
  • Conduct visits to project implementation sites, with a focus on the smooth implementation of quality services.
  • Liaise with Provincial Project Coordinators and focal points to ensure the effective and efficient program delivery
  • Coordinate the delivery of services among different program activities to increase effectiveness and efficiency
  • Write quality monthly and quarterly and ad hoc progress reports on the project for management, stakeholder, and donor.
  • Design, prepare and review ICE materials for awareness of beneficiaries regarding covid-19. 
  • Participate in meetings and events invited by donors, government, and other stakeholders.
  • Editing and translating training and campaign materials 
  • In consultation with the Senior Management Team, recruit, interview, and select well-qualified project staff as per project need.
  • Supervising project-related team in their field with preparing plan, report, fruitful technical feedback, to the relevant levels.
  • Ensure all staff members receive orientation and appropriate training in accordance with organizational standards
  • Identify and evaluate the risks associated with program activities and take appropriate action to control the risks
  • Respect the Afghan culture, keeping events and themes tuned and balanced in all program activities.
  • Supervise, support, and guide the project staff in the provinces to ensure project objectives are met, to improve program quality, cultural appropriateness and adheres to organizational policies and procedures, donor requirements, and host government guidelines. 
  • Develop monthly goals and objectives for project offices and review the progress on a regular basis
  • Maintain flexibility to take any added responsibility as and when needed.

The type of activities undertaken by the organization range from capacity building to service delivery, with the focus remaining on the deprived and marginalized segments of the society. Whereas in terms of operations what characterizes SEARCHO’s functioning is its efforts to (a) enlist the involvement of the locals when initiating activities at the grass-root level; and (b) mobilize women for bringing peace, tolerance, and development in society.
