Job Purpose:

A-TB-PSA is looking for a Project Manager who will be responsible for the overall management of the project including supervision, monitoring, reporting, coordination, and technical support to the Provincial Supervisor and other project staff for the better implementation and performance of the project in Daikundi, Maidan Wardak and Paktika Provinces. He/She is also responsible to liaise, communicate and coordinate with provincial Project Staff, MOPH, Donor and other relevant organs at the central level. Below mentioned are specific responsibilities.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Responsible for overall management.
Design, Plan and follow up of the Project.
Guide the project Provincial team at the Provincial level.

Represent NGO to the donor and relevant stakeholders during meetings and workshops.
Conduct on-the-job training on technical and Project management-related issues to subordinates.
Conduct Supervisory visits from the provincial offices, and meeting with PPHD.
Analyze and evaluate Project data to ensure their accuracy and progress against project targets.
To oversee and guide the implementation of the project according to the policy, strategies, and work plans.
Evaluate the ability of employees for performing a competent job, and motivate them for being creative.
To give comments to field colleagues for monthly, quarterly, and yearly reports.
Preparing and submission of monthly, quarterly, and yearly reports based on the requirements of donors.
To report any technical and non-technical problems within the project implementation and make a logical suggestion for the Improvement of the program
To have good communication with other stakeholders and strong coordination with project staff, MoPH, donors, and other relevant organs.
Active participation in the MoPH, donors meetings, and other relevant meetings.

About Afghanistan TB Patient Support Association (A-TB-PSA):

A-TB-PSA is an Afghanistan TB Patient Support Association based in Kabul City, established in 2009 in coordination with the government (MoPH). A-TB-PSA was registered with Ministry of Justice of Afghanistan in October 2010 as a social, non-political, independent and non-profiting organization.

A-TB-PSA registered with MoPH on date: 28/05/2019 (Reg. #: 622).

All over the country, the Association has around 300 members mostly active in central and remote areas of Afghanistan. Those are working to eliminate the TB from Afghanistan and have a country free from the burden of TB. The association outlines the rights and responsibilities of people living with Tuberculosis (TB). It empowers people with the disease and their communities.

The Patients’ Charter for Tuberculosis (the Charter) outlines the rights and responsibilities of people with Tuberculosis. It empowers people with the disease and their communities through knowledge of the disease. Initiated and developed by patients from around the world, the Charter makes the relationship with healthcare providers a mutually beneficial one.

The association sets out the ways in which patients, communities, healthcare providers, both private and public, and governments can work together as partners in a positive and open relationship, to improve standards of TB care and enhance the effectiveness of the healthcare process.

University degree in Health (MD, MPH).
Minimum of 4 or 5 years works experience in the Health Project.
Experience of working in managing Health Projects
Good knowledge of adult learning methods and different training techniques.
Ability to show initiative, manage multiple responsibilities and meet deadlines.
Proven skills in effective teamwork.
Excellent oral and written communication skills in Dari, Pashto, and English.
Good Computer skills, especially Word, PowerPoint, and excel.
Good control and supervisory skills.
