Project Manager (Kandahar, Afghanistan)


Developing work plans and monitors progress Presenting monthly progress report. Ensure effective documentation of the program and progress by capturing lesson learnt and good practices Organizing and maintaining information files related to program and project management Develop and conduct the planned child protection trainings for the team Oversee all activities of the project Ensuring existence of M&E planes Direct, control and motivate the team Ensuring that they have clear objectives and receive meaningful feedback on their performance Ensure effective and efficient utilization of project budget under responsibility for intended purpose Keep sufficient and proper coordination mechanism with relevant stakeholders and line departments Provide full support to Nimroz team and supervise them closely to make sure the project is implemented according to its plan Jointly working with and providing technical assistance Life Protecting and Promoting Spaces to all project staff in implementing the project activities Sharing and resolving problems and needs of project and project staff Convening the training sessions and events/gatherings in line with the project agenda. Conducting any other activity assigned to, by the line managers.

Data sharing

As a humanitarian agency, HRDA strictly adheres to humanitarian Data Sharing Protocol (DSP) applied in Afghanistan. The sharing of data of any type of anyone associated to HRDA (Beneficiary detail, survey, assessment, reports, internal matters, confidential documents, etc. is prohibited and will require senior management approval to make sure the sharing is in line with Do NO HARM principles, DSP and HRDA data sharing policy

      Media participation

No HRDA staff can participate in any media talks, interviews, debates, information sharing in social media or in any other media. No staff can represent any HRDA activities at any media platforms without HRDA management permission.

ST/SGB/2003/13 United Nations Secretary-General’s Bulletin and Special measures for protection from sexual exploitation and abuse (PSEA)

In the light of different reports and the statement of UN Secretary General regarding PSEA and in order to take prevention measures, HRDA strictly applies the PSEA guidance and policy to all of its staff, daily wagers, contractors, consultants, volunteers, vendors, beneficiary, etc. All HRDA associates are advised to avoid any kind of sexual exploitation (SEA) and abuse of any kind while working together with HRDA. Involvement in any form of SEA and violation of any set guideline in relation to SEA is prohibited.

HRDA shall track and get information on involvement in SEA or corruption about the candidates who apply to HRDA and HRDA adopts zero tolerance policy on SEA and corruptions

Human Resource Development Agency (HRDA) is an independent, non-governmental, non-political, non-religious and non-for-profit development oriented Afghan organization. This organization has been founded in 2002, mainly dedicated to the relief as well as to bring productive and sustainable socio-economic changes in the Afghan Society at gross-root level through community participation, human resources development focusing on human rights, empowerment and mainstreaming of poor, vulnerable and most marginalized segment of the Afghan society.

Bachelor degree in social science, management and another related field.
Five years of experience in leadership position.
Previous working experience in Child Protection.
Experience in working closely with community members.
Good interpersonal skills including ability to gain trust and build relationships.
Demonstrated ability to establish and maintain effective relationships and partnerships with key stakeholders.
Organizational skills with demonstrated ability to execute projects on time and on budget.
Strong interpersonal, communication, facilitation and presentation skills.
Ability to work independently and with minimal supervision.
 

Minimum of 5 years of experience.
