Project Manager (Nangarhar, Afghanistan)

Under the technical guidance of Jhpiego’s team leader in Nangarhar and AADA main office technical manager, the project manager has the overall responsibility of effective and efficient management of community-based interventions of UHI in priority Nahias of Jalalabad city;
Developing a feasible plan that achieves the goals and objectives of the project and aligns with the donor’s overall objective; 
Responsible for accurate budget control in compliance with AADA systems and procedures
Support the implementation of monitoring systems and project progress review;
Liaise with the Jhpiego at the provincial level to coordinate all activities.
Responsible for strengthening community participation in health activities to ensure the long term ownership and effectiveness of the UHI;
Identify and make decision to solve immediately any problem which interferes in the delivery of services or in achieving the program objectives and provide report to his/her immediate supervisor;
Develop and submit project progress, (biweekly, monthly and quarterly) and other reports as per donor requirement to Jhpiego and AADA main office.

Agency for Assistance and Development of Afghanistan (AADA) is an Afghan non-profit non-governmental organization working for the development of Afghanistan mainly through (1) provision of quality health services; (2) community development; (3) training and capacity building at professional and community levels; and (4) research in topics of public health and social sciences besides various projects in different parts of Afghanistan.

Afghan National
MD degree- graduate from a recognized medical Faculty
At least five years’ experience in health projects management;
Strong communication skills, with reasonable written and spoken English
Fluency in written and spoken local languages; 
Knowledge of local environment;
Strong leadership skills and a supportive management style
