Protection Monitors’ Team Leader (Kandahar, Afghanistan)

Manage and supervise a team of protection monitors, reporting to the Protection Activity Manager while data is processed by the IMS Officer.
In charge of the implementation and the supervision of protection monitoring activities ensuring qualitative and timely planning, implementation and monitoring/evaluation of the component.
Ensure quality reporting on achievements through daily short briefings, monthly and weekly planning presented against weekly and monthly performance reports containing clear quantitative and qualitative information related to the activities
Contribute to the drafting of internal/external reports (weekly/monthly and quarterly) according to INTERSOS and donor requirements ensuring that reports are of a high quality and submitted on time.
Elaborate on trends and protection situation analysis to feed into monthly reports;
Maintain regular and positive collaboration with the colleagues to harmonize approaches and methodologies of response, share challenges and best practices and ensure that protection is mainstreamed;
Ensure and support the effective identification and referral of vulnerable individuals for case management support and/or additional relevant services available;
Support the monitoring teams through the development of a technically sound (monthly & weekly) work plan consistent with the goals and objectives of the project
Ensure timely and quality implementation of the work plan, in coordination with field teams.

Job Requirements

Job Requirements:

University degree in Political Science, Law, Psychology, Social Work, or any other related studies;

Minimum 2 years of relevant protection work experience in the humanitarian sector (National NGO, INGO, UN agencies) ;

Advanced knowledge and understanding of Protection Principles, GBV, CP and PwSN ;

Experience and good knowledge of case management steps;

Fluency in English and Pashtu is essential (writing and speaking);

Proficiency in Computer literacy (Excel, Word, etc.);

Commitment to INTERSOS principles and Code of Conduct and PSEA policy;

Comply with all INTERSOS policies and procedures;

Prior working experience in Southern Region of Afghanistan  (Kandahar, Helmand, Zabul, Uruzgan);

Ability and willingness to travel to the areas of operation within Kandahar and Zabul Province;
