About AWSDC (Afghan Women’s Skill development center):

The Afghan Women Skills Development Center (AWSDC) is a national non-governmental organization (NGO), based in Kabul and dedicated to the promotion and protection of the rights of women in Afghanistan. It was founded in 1999 in Pakistan with a mission to provide Afghan women refugees with training and support for their skills development and economic empowerment and participation of women in peace building process. AWSDC works in several provinces of Afghanistan.

Project Brief

The purpose of the position to provide admin, financial and logistical support at provincial level to the implementation of AWSDC Peacebuilding Project in Samanagan Province. Likewise the position as bridge between AWSDC main and provincial office ensuring that all the administrative, financial and logistical affairs of the project is in fully compliance with AWSDC policies and donor requirement.

The key role of the position is to plan, administer and report administrative, finance and logistical affairs of the project. The position holders needs to ensure that project financial resources are properly safeguarded, spent based on approved budget and that sound financial records are maintained in line with AWSDC admin, finance and logistics policies. The followings are the detailed Job Description

Job Description:

  • Prepare monthly financial forecast for the project, submit it to main office by end of each calender month
  • Prepare staff monthly salaries and transfer it to staff bank account
  • Support staff in opening bank account
  • In joint collaboration of project manager, trainer and social mobilizers visit project site to reimburse transportation and other allowances for project beneficiaries and participants of the training, workshops and seminars
  • Procurment of project and office supplies based on the project plan
  • Maintain books of accounts for the project
  • Delivering monthly financial records to main office
  • Conduct monthly reconciliation with main office and place request for new financial forecast
  • Ensuring that all staff fully understand and adhere to financial, administrative and procurement policy
  • Provide orientation and training to project staff on AWSDC policies such as information sharing, code of conduct, complaint response mechanism, gender
  • Participate in relevant meetings and forums
  • Maintain personnel record of the staff based on AWSDC HR policy
  • Maintain leave records and timesheet of staff
  • In joint collaboration of provincial manager conduct capacity need assessment of the staff and propose relavent training to main office
  • Prepare required reports to provincial authorities
  • Prepare monthly and quarterly report to main office
  • Any other task as assigned by the Program Director

Job Requirements:


Bachelor Degree in relevant field.

Knowledge & Skills

Advanced written and oral English skills. (Ability to express ideas clearly and effectively, both in spoken and written English)

Professional Dari into English or English into Dari Translation

Knowledge of MS Office/Excel.

Knowledge of Budgeting & logistic & Finance

Interpersonal sensitivity, flexible, emotional maturity

Ability to work in and contribute to a team-building environment

Willing to travel as required
