INTERSOS is an Italian non-profit humanitarian aid organisation that works to bring assistance to people in danger, victims of natural disasters and armed conflicts. Established in 1992 , its actions are based on the values of solidarity, justice, human dignity, equal rights and opportunities for all people and respect for diversity and coexistence, paying particular attention to the most vulnerable and the unprotected. INTERSOS is an independent association which, through its own humanitarian operators, intervenes to effectively answer the needs of people in serious crises situations, mainly in the world’s poorest regions, who are suffering, deprived of rights, dignity and essentials goods. It maintains a flexible operating structure.
Greet clients and visitors with a positive, helpful attitude.
Provide detailed information on the services available within the Center or other humanitarian support available in the area/Region, including by providing information and educational material (IEC).
Assisting clients in finding their way (and the required services) around the Community Center.
Helping maintain the CC security and smooth activity by managing with the support of the guards the number of visitors accessing the Center.
Assisting with a variety of administrative tasks including note taking etc.
Preparing meeting and training rooms.
Manage the CC information hotline.
Assisting colleagues with administrative tasks.
Support with the management of the CC schedule (e.g. activities, trainings, meetings, workshops)
Perform any other task not here listed and necessary for the implementation of the CC activities as requested by the Center Supervisor.
Previous experience with administrative jobs is preferable
Commitment to INTERSOS principles.
Comply with all relevant INTERSOS policies and procedures.
Stress-resilient, able to cope with deadlines
Good writing skills and computer literacy
Previous experience working for an international NGO is preferable.
Fluency in Pashto and Dari is mandatory
Knowledge of English (spoken and written) is preferable
