Title: Security Focal Point-Badghis

Dept. / Location: WPC/FGC and LAC, Badghis -Afghanistan

Reports to: HQ Security officer  

Responsibilities:

Maintain high level of oversight for physical security issues at offices, shelters and guesthouses.He must keep local security information trees and disseminate security flash alerts and advisories to staff when required.He is required to keep good communication and relationship with all security entities in Badghis province and maintain their updates contact numbers.Must create a messaging group with all Staff to enable them reporting security incidents smoothly with instant messaging via cellphone.Coordinate the delivery/receipt of items to/from HQ office.Cooperation with finance department in going all banks in paying and cashingFollow up beneficiaries with RRA two days in a week.Meeting with Guards once in a monthSupervision of security guards at BadghisMonthly security report to HQ security officer  Arrangement of provincial vehiclesImplement security policies and proceduresHe must have the ability to provide safety trainings against natural incidents.Attend local security network meetings.Develop and prepare briefing materials in local languages for VWO staff and shelters’ residents.Conduct route analysis while transporting cases from shelter to the court and provide best security advises during movements.Provide safety and security thoughts on establishment of safe houses within offices and the shelters.Investigate and follow up on security incidents where VWO staff or assets are involved.Must brief all new staff on security conditions and rules.Provide weekly security update reports for the HQ security officer.Perform any other assignments/duties that might be assigned by immediate supervisor.

Voice of Women Organization (VWO) is a non-governmental, non-profit, non-political and non-partisan organization that strives for the revival of women’s role in Afghan societies through advocacy of women right, legal, social protection and capacity of women. VWO has offices in Herat, Badghis, Farah, Nimrooz, Ghor and Kabul. So the main office is based in Herat, the Kabul office is responsible for some programmatic activities in the central region.

Position Requirements: (Qualifications)

• Bachelor degree (Preferably social science) from a well-known university
• Trained on the NGO-security subjects in the context of Afghanistan
• Having knowledge and skills of using/delivering the first aid kits
• Minimum Four years of working experience in security section
• Having the analytical ability to analyze the security situation of Afghanistan
• Ability of the risk mitigation
• Being familiar with the security equipment
• Having excellent oral and written communication skills in English, Dari and Pashtu
• Strong interpersonal communication skills
• Ability to work under pressure
• Ability to work overtime
• Having wide communication network with security entities in Badghis province.
• Being familiar with Ghor province
• Excellent working computer skills of MS office package (word, excel, PowerPoint, outlook)
