Job Description
- Develop the Training materials and methods for imparting AutoCAD 2020 2d, 3d, and Civil 3D all commands and design of projects drawing and practical work on the irrigation channel project as sample. Present the Training Materials to the trainees on best and comprehensive methods as specified by the trainer during developing the training materials and methods. Meet with NWARA Provincial directors to ensure that the training design, Materials, lesson plan, and modules integrate expertise as needed. Trainee’s evaluation, and trainees’ satisfactory survey and a comprehensive training report. The training topics are not limited to the mentioned topics above and the trainer can add other topics as per approved training agenda and matching with emerging survey context.

Background
About TLO:The Liaison Office (TLO) founded in 2003 as an Afghan non-governmental organization (NGO) that emerged from aSwisspeace pilot project (supported by the Heinrich Böll Stiftung) on good governance in connection to peace and reconstruction or reconciliation process. TLO has since evolved into as an independent Afghan NGO registered under number 611 with the Ministry of Economy of Afghanistan. TLO was founded with the aim of improving local governance, stability, and security through systematic and institutionalized engagement with customary structures, local communities, civil society groups, and government institutions. TLO is based in Kabul, with regional offices in Paktia, Khost, Kandahar, Herat, Mazar, and Nangarhar and additional field offices across Afghanistan. TLO works to achieve its objectives through key program activities: research and analysis, dialogue facilitation for peacebuilding, access to justice and governance, humanitarian assistance, third party monitoring and evaluation, and environment & natural resources management. The guidelines for these activities are strictly based on the “do-no-harm” approach and Conflict Sensitive Programme Management (CSPM), which are participatory and community-led.
Job Requirements
- Preferably an advanced university degree (Master or equivalent) in Hydraulics and irrigation engineering. Minimum of 7 Years working experience in irrigation projects, and are having both practical and theoretical knowledge of architectural design software of the AutoCAD and Civil 3D. Special expertise in the AutoCAD design drawing development of the projects, and finally, prepare for the plot. Ability to work in the geometric design of the open channels and profile alignment through the Civil 3D. Strong and technical training design skills, including the capacity to prepare coherent lesson plans, training modules, and training materials. Ability to present the training contents effectively and efficiently to the trainees NWARA provincial staff. Ability to integrate different experiences, methodologies, and approaches and technical experts in the irrigation sector. Working relationships with relevant education sectors, irrigation department, NGOs that are working in the irrigation section would be an advantage. Excellent English and Pashto speaking and writing skill required.
