Site Engineer (Kabul, Afghanistan)


Major Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Creating Project designs and highly detailed drawings by using specialist (CAD) applications.
  • Structural designing of different kinds of Schools’ Buildings like RCC, Stone Masonry and Mud Wall and other RCC structures like Retaining walls, Culverts, Canal, Water Towers, Different Types of Trusses;
  • Structural design of different types of foundations based on conducted technical survey and geo technical information of selected site;
  • Preparing and providing detailed structural designed calculations reports;
  • Preparing of bill of quantity and cost estimation for the preferred infrastructure project;
  • Prepare monthly cash request for each type of infrastructure projects;
  • Checking, recording and testing of completed works.
  • Resolving any unexpected technical difficulties and other problems that may arise in construction Site;
  • Reporting regularly to supervisor.
  • Executing of CAD drawings of mitigation, agro-based, WASH and education related project.
  • Preparing of the cost estimation for all type of engineering projects based on the nature of NAC’s work nature and standard.
  • Planning the work and efficiently organizing the site to meet agreed deadlines.
  • Prepare topographic plan through the sites survey and with use of survey equipment wherever is necessary.
  • Regular updating of the structures typical design drawings According to site Condition.
  • considering the project and staff security and safety during the implementation of the project.
  •  Perform a survey, assessments of canal, roadside and flood channel, and specify the locations where the protection wall, gabion walls, culverts need to be constructed and cleaning of canal based on the criteria needed.
  • Checking Quality of work practically on site.
  • Make sure that quality of the works complies with norms and standards of NAC’s engineering
  • Preparing work plan for implementation of the projects and make sure that the progress of construction works goes forward according to the prepared plan.
  • Considering the project and staff security and safety during the implementation of the project.
  • Overseeing quality control, health, and safety matters on site.
  • Ensuring all materials used and work performed are as per specifications.
  • Daily reporting the progress and completion of works according to project requirements.
  • Keep proper attendance record of staffs for project implementation.
  • Any other task assigned by supervisor.
