Store Officer (Balkh, Afghanistan)

Under direction, performs a variety of shipping/receiving, stocking activities; stores and distributes supplies and equipment; maintains inventory and stock records; may serve as a lead worker to other classified staff in the area; and perform related work as required.

Main Responsibilities: 

1- Receives and inspects all incoming  machines, goods and materials  and reconciles with purchase orders
2- Follow up the purchased items during shipments
3- Processes, document and distributes purchase orders.
4- Tracks damages and discrepancies on orders received and damaged spares and materials return from service.
5- Receives,  stores,  tags  and  tracks  surplus  property;  prepares  property  lists  for  items  to  be  sold at auction.
7- Receives  and  stores  documents  and  confidential  files;  maintains  record  of  approved document and confidential file destruction.

7.   Ships canceled and damaged items back to vendors as appropriate.

8.   Delivers and sets up furniture for various campus events as requested.

9.   Handles and documents storage and transportation of hazardous materials.

10.   Maintains the warehouse, records area and stores area in a neat and orderly manner.

11. Answers  questions  regarding  procedures  and  resolves  discrepancies  regarding  receipts, 

      deliveries, warranties, repairs and surplus property.

12.  Trains and directs the work of student assistants.

13.  May serve as a lead worker to other classified staff in the area.

14. Take over the machinery and items of daily uses which must be kept at store and hand over at beginning of the day.

15. Any other related order given by supervisor.
