Supervisor (Kabul, Afghanistan)


Job Description:

Provide Micro plan in coordination with REMT for uncovered area of MIs.
Coordination with REMT in cold chain equipment, vaccine and non-vaccine supply
Ensure properly vaccine and non-vaccine supply from PEMT to MI teams
Ensure from cold chain procedure is implemented
Responsible for planning, implementation, supervision and monitoring the EPI component related activities of mobile health team
Responsible for monitoring and verification of data in specified indicators.
Responsible for implementation and follow up EPI activities of MIs.
Plan and implement project activities in target areas under his/her supervision
Actively participate in NID and EPI mass campaigns.
Responsible for collecting, Analyzing and compilation of EPI data and coverage.
Responsible to ensure the implementation of Quality improvement standards in EPI services.
Conduct regular meeting with community leaders regarding community mobilization for increasing EPI coverage.
Attend to quarterly review workshops to better solving problems
Identify and report EPI targeted disease outbreaks and take immediate action for its control.
Responsible to attend the provincial EPI subcommittees and strengthen the coordination among stakeholders.
Provide ICE/BCC material to all MI teams
Prepare and submit monthly quarterly and annually plan and reports.
Do whatever related job, is delegated by the line manager.

About Sanayee Development Organization (SDO):

Sanayee Development Organization (SDO) is an Afghan development NGO, established in 1990 in Peshawar – Pakistan, to serve Afghan refugees in that area. SDO takes its name from Hazrat Abu-ul-Majad Majdod Ibn-e-Adam, well known as Hazrat Hakeem Sanayee, (1088 – 1166 A.D), one of Afghanistan’s most outstanding poets.

In 2002, SDO expanded its services and relocated to Kabul – Afghanistan, with the mission to contribute to the emergence of a peaceful, developed and self-sustaining Afghan society through the provision of services to vulnerable and disadvantaged people in remote and underserved rural areas of Afghanistan in the sectors of Peace building and Conflict Transformation, Health, Education and Community Development.

Over time, SDO has established an extensive field presence and has implemented projects in 22 of Afghanistan’s 34 provinces. Today, SDO continues to operate in nine provinces in the northern, western, eastern and southern regions of the country. In all its works, SDO applies a participatory, community-based approach to development, working with community-based organizations, as well as relevant sub-national government bodies.

SDO is an active member of major civil society networks at national, regional and international levels.

SDO is the BPHS implementer in two provinces (Kabul and Zabul) and BPHS/EPHS implementer in one province (Faryab), in order to increase routine EPI coverage among children residing in urban/uncovered areas of mentioned provinces, by providing EPI services and contribute in addressing inequities in accessing the EPI services, SDO has been awarded GAVI contracts by MoPH to provide EPI services in urban/uncovered areas and community base vaccination in Kabul, Zabul and Faryab provinces.

Job Requirements:

Medical Doctor background
At least 3 years’ experience in related field
Interpersonal and managerial and conflict resolution skills.
Communication skills and knowledge of local communities.
Knowledge of English, Dari and Pashto Languages.
Negotiate skills in multicultural and multilingual environment
