TB Provincial Project Focal Point (Badghis, Kandahar, Afghanistan)

Responsible for overall implementation of the project in the province level.
Maintain good communication with Provincial Public Health Directorate (PPHD), Provincial BPHS implementer and other relevant organizations.
Build strong cooperative relations with community and involved sides.
Coordinate and share the progress/achievements within the province through PPHCC committee and with main office project focal point as well.
Supervise and monitor the activities closely and provide technical, financial, logistic and other appropriate support in case of need.
Follow up of community based DOTs activities and collection of data from the health facilities.
Follow up of the activities of Child TB screening in the hospitals, collection of data, interpretation of data and providing regular feedbacks to the staff.
Follow up of active case finding and screening among internally displaced peoples within the camps in Kandahar and Badghis provinces.
Follow up of the active case finding and screening among prisoners in Kandahar & Badghis provinces, and collection of data on regular basis.
Establishment of PPM in provincial level and follow of TB case detection & referral system through Public-Private Mix (PPM-DOTs) approach from private practitioners to public health facilities.
Insure collection of accurate data, interpretation of data and analysis of the collected data.
Ensure case finding among the household contacts, registration and recording system, collection of the actual data and reporting of the information.
Ensure and maintain good reporting on monthly and quarterly basis to the main office project focal point on regular basis.
Ensure and maintain contact with TB patient association for active case finding Badghis and Kandahar provinces.
Mapping of TB associations in the province.
Plan and conduct required trainings to the staff of health facilities.
Collect monthly data of the project components and preparing complied report.
Any other task delegated by line manager and HealthNet Senior management

Health Net TPO is currently implementing projects in 22 provinces and the major program it implements are Malaria Control program, BPHS/EPHS, C-IMCI , CME, CHNE, public private partnership, nutrition and Mental Health and Psychosocial program through a community system strengthening approach. 

Job Requirements

Job Requirements:

Graduated from a recognized medical faculty or at least degree in health related field
Experience in TB and other global fund projects
To be fluent in writing and speaking Pashto, Dari and English languages.
Ability to work long hours, often under pressure
Good communication and interpersonal skills
Planning, Monitoring, supportive supervision and reporting skill.
Ability to travel to all districts and project sites
Be able to work in team or individually
