About the Project
The peacebuilding project goal is, “Communities are more cohesive, cooperative and enjoy an improved level of peace”. Contributing to the said goal, the Peacebuilding program envisions to work towards four interconnected changes:
Religious leaders and community elders are active in promoting social cohesion and coexistence by fighting exclusion and marginalization.
Inclusive local peacebuilding structures prevent and transform conflict
Female and youth voices are heard and they actively participate in all phases of the Afghan peace process, and
Peacebuilding CSOs, networks and institutions are active on advocating protection of social action for peace.
The “Afghanistan Civil Society Forum” (ACSFo), started at the outset of 2002, and offers representatives of Afghan civil society a platform for exchange of information and opinion on topics relevant to civil society. ACSFo comprises a network of a wide range of actors and seeks to facilitate the coordination and cooperation of their activities.
