WASH Engineer (Ghowr, Afghanistan)


  • Contribute to the technical survey, designing a network, water supply, and sanitation-related activities and defining Bill of Quantities (BoQ) of infrastructures, and preparing all technical drawings. Survey, design, prepare the BoQ of the sub-projects at community, school, health center levels. These are including latrines, pipe schemes, solar-powered water supply systems. Manage all the phases of the WASH (Water, Sanitation, and Hygiene) activities including but not limited to; beneficiary selection, project planning, assessment, project implementation, monitoring, and evaluation of sub-contractor activities. Act as a technical resource point for the sub-contractor(s) Liaise and collaborate with relevant local authorities and other key stakeholders at the provincial level Site selection Assess, analyze, and finalize the water supply network locations/villages in consultation with the communities, schools, and health centers. Arrange community meetings and explain the roles and responsibilities of water committees and sign a three-partite agreement between the community, the government authorized, and the CHA. Provide on-the-job training to the water committee at all project villages on maintenance of water supply network and solar system. Managing the bidding process of the project sub-activities Preparing weekly, monthly, quarterly reports to the back donors, and line ministries.

Any other tasks assigned by line supervisors.
