Main duties and responsibilities:
Provide effective telephone counseling to young people. Updating and entering in database. Ensure confidentiality and client trust during counseling. Provide counseling for the young people on available referrals services. Attend in related training program and staff meeting on regular basis. Keep all information Education and communication (IEC) materials and audio-visual materials properly. Documenting/Recording information through entering, transcribing, recording, storing, or maintain information in written or electronic/magnetic form. Prepare monthly report of related activities and submit to line manager. Perform any other required project related tasks assigned by line manager. Coordinate with other staff members aiming to perform accurate referral services and council clients. Assisting for clients, insuring medical attention, emotional support, and creating very supportive and confidential environment. Modify referral/counseling activities and approaches as needed in order to comply with changes in client’s status.

HealthNet TPO offers ground-breaking and unconventional solutions that foster self-reliance and promote sustainable health care that is accessible to all. HealthNet TPO in Afghanistan aims to improve the health status of the people in Afghanistan by supporting the local communities and the Government of Afghanistan in the development of a sustainable health care system. HealthNet TPO is working in Afghanistan since 1994, implementing integrated health projects managed mainly by national staff and supported technically by expatriate staff from the headquarter office.
HealthNet TPO has implemented over 283 projects in the areas of health system strengthening, mental health and psychosocial support services, and disease control. Currently, HNTPO has 18 active projects in several provinces including SEHATMANDI Projects in four provinces, training of psychosocial counsellors from all 34 provinces of Afghanistan, malaria control program, Gender base violence project , psychosocial support and mobile health services for IDPs and public private partnership.
Job Requirements
- Must be MD doctor or other relevant degree
- At least 2 years’ experience in health counselling.
- Well familiar with Ms. office, interview and data entry.
- Able to provide accurate and valid information to the clients
- Having excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
