Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Overall responsible for MCH services in seven (03 Mobile and 04 fixed) health facilities in different locations of Kabul.
  • Ensure provision of quality RH services through teams in the HFs to the beneficiaries.
  • Maintain good record on achievements on set indicators for the project.
  • Keep good coordination with the RH department of DOPH Kabul and MoPH as required.
  • Ensure use standard MoPH tools for reporting on MCH activities in the HFs.
  • Responsible for implementation of Reproductive Health and Sexual Right components of the project in close coordination with the Gender and Protection officer.
  • Ensure good tracking of the patients and clients for the next ANC, PNC and other related visits by the HF staff.
  • Supervising health facilities on regular base.
  • Improving family planning programs and maintaining a sound mechanism of distributing contraceptives to the health facilities.
  • Checking, analysing RH and HMIS activities on monthly basis.
  • Providing monthly report of MCH activities all OHW, PHS health facilities.
  • Preventing neonatal and maternal morbidity and mortality by providing clean delivery kits and avoiding complications by establishing a referral system.
  • Improving safe mother-hood by giving on job training and conducting refresher training courses.
  • Improving management and recording of infertility.
  • Creating awareness sessions for the people regarding the TT vaccine.
  • Planning the provision of comprehensive reproductive health services integrated in to primary health care.
  • Immediate identification and reporting of any problems which interfere in the delivery of services or in achieving the program objectives to his/her immediate supervisor
  • Participating in MoPH RH taskforces and other working groups.
  • Performing other duty assigned by immediate supervisor
  • Improving skills of staff and raising awareness in people regarding early detection of breast and cervical cancer.
  • Raising awareness of mothers on breast-feeding, weaning food, EPI and malnutrition through health education sessions.
  • Raising awareness of people regarding RTI /STDs and improving skills of staff on how to Manage RTI, STDs and prevention of HIV/aids.
  • Improving management of menopause and pre menopause.

Job Requirements

Job Requirements:

  • Minimum 2-3 years’ experience working as RH supervisor in health NGOs
  • Experience working in projects related to RHSR
  • Bachelor’s Degree in medical sciences or midwifery 
  • Computer literate Understand and be able to use the Microsoft office package.
  • Familiarity with English, fluency in Pashto and Dari is highly required
