Job Description
- Conduct daily ward rounds for observation and review of patients. Ensure patient case notes, transfer, referral and discharges are written on daily basis
- Run clinics on a regular basis.
- Regularly monitor patients’ progress.
- Attend to emergency cases when necessary.
- Assess the status of the patients before providing physical therapy services for optimum customer satisfaction.
- Evaluate, monitor and record patients progress related to the care plan and maintain accurate records.
- Observe and comply with the environmental health and Occupational safety measures to ensure compliance with set regulations. Participate in Planning and Implementing department objectives, to enable optimum performance.
- Conduct training for staff to enable individual and department growth.
- Work with clinical team to enable optimum performance
- Demonstrate initiatives in professional self development.
- Ensure active participation in clinical governance and quality assurance activities
- To be committed to reduce the impact on climate and the environment by setting goals for striving net-zero carbon operations
- Any other duties assigned by Head of Department or Clinical Manager
Background
Aga Khan Health Service, Afghanistan (AKHS,A), an agency of the Aga Khan Development Network (AKDN), is a long-term partner of the ‘Ministry of Public Health, Islamic Republic of Afghanistan’ for the implementation of “Basic Package of Health Services” in three provinces (Baghlan, Bamyan and Badakhshan), and implementation of Essential Package of Hospital Service (EPHS) in Badakhshan and Bamyan province. AKHS-A is implementing three Community Midwifery Education Program Schools each in Bamyan, Badakhshan and Baghlan.
Job Requirements
Education:
Diploma in Physiotherapy from a recognized institution/college or BSc. Program in Physiotherapy is preferable.
Experience:
1 or 2 years of related experience as physiotherapist.
Skills:
- Knowledge of assessment/Evaluation techniques, monitoring and recording patients’ progress.
- Good knowledge of patient theory, techniques, and equipment.
- Ability in counseling and problem solving
- Ability to perform patient services and operate equipment
- Ability to communicate effectively.
