Job Description
The goal of Goldozi Gender Trainers is to provide training sessions on Goldozi’s family forum training materials to sensitize and raise awareness of the responsible male family members of the lead entrepreneurs LE’s. Particularly, the training sessions will serve three purposes:
1) Explaining Goldozi project activities, objectives, and beneficiaries
2) Explaining and underlining the importance of LEs roles and contributions
3) Ensuring family support for LE’s embroidery production and networking activities
- Prepare, using Goldozi’s existing training materials, six training sessions for the participants on gender equality and sensitization, Goldozi project activities, its benefits for the beneficiaries, economic opportunities it creates for poor women and the crucial role LE’s play in its success.
- Deliver these training sessions to the participants
- Discuss any issues that are presented by the participants
- Conduct any necessary tests in the end
- Prepare and submit a report to Goldozi summarizing the experience, information exchanges, impacts and possible recommendations for the future
- Assist Goldozi and third-party monitoring teams at field and office level; and provide feedback on the quality of trainings and the assistance of male family members with women embroiderers (WEs)/Lead entrepreneurs (LEs).
- Support M&E Unit on training and follow up family forums.
- Any other task assigned as required

Job Requirements
The required trainer should have below qualifications. In addition, the selected candidates will receive a training of trainers ToT provided by Goldozi’s Learning Specialist.
- The trainers must be male
- They must have a degree in Islamic law or related disciplines
- Previous training experience in human rights, women rights, and community empowerment
- Knowledge of and experience working on women’s economic empowerment in Afghanistan is a plus point
- Extensive understanding of cultural and societal issues prevalent in Afghanistan context
- Strong communication and presentation skills
- Fluency in Dari, Pashto and English
- Demonstrated experience of report writing in English.
