Title: Project Cash Distributer
Dept. / Location: Cash for Work Assistance for Women at Risk-Kabul
Reports to: Project Manager
Description: The project Cash Distributer will be based in VWO Kabul Office and the cash distributer will work full time for the project and he/she will be responsible for the fund delivery and cash distribution to the beneficiaries on time in the Cash for Work Assistance for Women at Risk-UN-Woman Project. He/she will report the day-to-day activities to the project manager.
Responsibilities:
- Adhere to standard operating procedures for cash distributions using the selected service provider(s) per the Cash Transfer Programming manuals and Program Management Manual Plan and implement cash distribution activities in hard to get areas. Ensure the proper and final list of beneficiaries are available at hand Call the beneficiaries and arrange the distribution process Ensure the distribution center is ready for the distribution process Take fingerprint of beneficiaries on the distribution forms Ensure the beneficiaries have valid NID and take a copy of each and every beneficiary’s NID Ensure the distribution lists are signed and stamped by the representatives and the project stakeholder including the donor. Ensure fingerprints are clearly identified and enough spaces are between each fingerprint Ensure single name spelling are used for the similar names, abbreviations and addresses Ensure duplication are avoided Ensure distribution lists are clean and tidy and are submitted to the line manager as soon as they are completed. Computerize the distribution list and ensure lists are scanned timely. Establish and maintain effective program reporting, monitoring and evaluation systems for both internal and external use. Ensure filing adheres to internal protocols and is regularly maintained Attend all relevant cluster meetings Deal with complaints or issue related to Cash/voucher distribution through distribution hotline Participate in various post distribution monitoring surveys Report on unmet needs and gaps in Cash distributions to the immediate manager. Carry out the daily / weekly / monthly work plan as directed by the immediate manager. Participate in assessments, selection and training to volunteers and distribution workers Manage conflicts when they arise and possible solutions. Any other relevant task given by the immediate manager. Protection from Sexual Exploitation and Abuse (PSEA) is everyone’s responsibility and all staff are required to adhere to VWO Sexual Exploitation and Abuse (PSEA) and VWO Code of Conduct Policy, that enshrines principles of PSEA, at all times.
Background
Voice of Women Organization (VWO) is an Afghanistan-based non-governmental, non-profit, non-political, and non-partisan organization that specifically strives for the revival of women’s role in Afghan societies through advocacy for women’s rights, their legal and social protection, and their capacity building.
VWO informally established in Kabul in 1998 and was registered with the Government of Afghanistan as the first women’s organization in the post-Taliban setup. The organization has since carried out scores of projects for the socio-economic advancement of Afghan women and girls. Voice of women organization established a headquarter office in 2004 in Herat province. In the beginning, it focused on women-related matters, and later on, in 2005, VWO established the first women protection center in Herat province.
Job Requirements
Position Requirements: (Qualifications)
1-Bachelor degree (Preferably, Business Administration, Public Administration, Finance, Accounting or relevant field.
2-Minimum of 3 years’ experience in cash distributer or Finance section in National or International Organization.
3-Having oral and written communication skills in English and Dari languages.
4-Strong interpersonal communication skills.
5-Ability to work under pressure.
6-Ability to work overtime.
7-Excellent working computer skills of MS office package (word, excel, PowerPoint, outlook) QuickBooks database is preferred.
