POSITION SUMMARY:
A project director is responsible for overseeing the complete projects in MELI, and deal with various departments who are assigned certain tasks to complete for a given project. The role of the project director involves in Project biding, making proposals, Having rapport with government officials, getting skill development projects to MELI, handling the projects, and ensureing that all the project are going as per the action plan. .

About Muslim English Language Institute:Muslim English Language Institute (MELI), established in 2002, has continuously striven to build an inclusive knowledge society through an exclusive program. We have tried to increase the interest of learning English by offering contemporary and comprehensive curriculum and high-quality teaching methodology. We began by offering DEL Program in 2002 with the strength of 200 students. Today, we serve the educational aspirations of over 40,000 students from all over the country. In addition, more than 30,000 students have successfully graduated from our institute with knowledge, wisdom and nationwide serving capacity. We have four campuses located in key locations of Kabul City with our main campus located in Dehbori 3rd District. For now, we have three provincial campuses in Herat, Mazar-E-Shariff and Jalal Abad and other campuses are under construction in other important cities. Our DEL Program is consisting of the following semesters: BASIC Pre-Beginner & Special Beginner LOWER INTERMEDIATE Base One & Base Two INTERMEDIATE Base Three & Base Four UPPER INTERMEDIATE Junior One & Junior Two ADVANCED Junior Three, Junior Four & Senior Our DEL Program is an exclusive program consisting of four components called Grammar Period, Structure Period, News Period and Atmosphere Period. These four periods focus on improving the four essential skills of learning: listening, speaking, reading and writing.

REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
Bachelor’s Degree (BA)
Masters Degree (MBA)
REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES/COMPETENCIES TYPICALLY NEEDED TO PERFORM THIS JOB SUCCESSFULLY:
- Experience in management, operations, and leadership.
- Ability to listen, communicate (written and verbal), and follow-up effectively with Staff/management,
- Reliable and trustworthy
- Leadership.
- Understanding of policy, planning, and strategy.
- Ability to, implement policies and procedures.
- Ability to oversee budgeting, reporting, planning, and auditing.
- Understanding of necessary legal and regulatory documents.
- Ability to address problems and opportunities for the MELI.
- Understanding of general finance and budgeting, including profit and loss, balance sheet and cash-flow management.
- Solid understanding of financial management.
ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Prepare Business plans, and execute according to the business plan, business plan, formulate for skill development projects in various industries, and various domains, (English, Capacity building, Software, Information technology etc.)
- Project Proposal preparation for submission to various government departments.
- Liaising with government department, and having a good rapport with the government officials.
- Overall management and execution of the projects, right from the market research to the final deliverables.
- Setting up of new training programs as and when required as per the projects/contracts and coordinate properly with the Assistant Academy Managers
- Ensure proper implementation of the project, and also focus on the continuous advancement in the process.
- Plan the budget of each project and do the planning accordingly, send the proposal to the management for the approvals.
- Ensure that the revenues are generated according the contracts signed, follow up with the clients on the pending invoices and make sure to assist the General Finance Management in profit analysis of all projects.
- Coordinate with different department and get the project functions executed efficiently.
- Do timely audits on projects and Monitoring au the audit report and report to the top management on the gaps,
- Draft the project guidelines and execute them,
- Handle the team efficiently and ensure to run the daily operations without any process gaps.
- Participate in team and project meetings and provide guidance in the delivery of services.
- Generate the milestone reports and take the service feedbacks and work on the negative feedbacks and ensure that the clients ate uttermost satisfied. Ability to take responsibilities in trying and emergency circumstances.
- Ability to understand client’s needs and respond to the client promptly
EXPERIENCE:-
- Minimum 10-15 years of project management experience.
- Having a good knowledge about Afghanistan skill developmental projects,
- Having a good rapport with government officials.
- Experience running multiple projects simultaneously with team dependencies
- International experience preferred
