Job Description:WSTA is the partner of UNHCR for the implementation of “Protection monitoring of IDPs and refugee returnees in emergency and protracted situations in Central Region and Paktia, Khost, and Paktika of south-east and Central region of Afghanistan. This project seeks to ensure that the situation of the persons of concern is continuously monitored in  Logar, Wardak, Kabul, Parwan, Kapisa, Panjsher, Khost, Paktika and Paktia provinces key protection risks are identified and analyzed, persons with specific needs are identified and referred for further assessment and assistance, communities are monitored and community level concerns are identified and referred for further assessment. Additionally, protection incidents will be continuously documented using the Protection Cluster methodology (Protection Incident Monitoring System). The project will contribute to systematically collect the evidence for advocacy carried out by UNHCR and partners. The Field Monitors will work under the supervision of the Project Manager to undertake the following activities; Participation in inter-agency joint emergency assessments to assess the emergency needs of conflict-induced IDPs in project target locations.
Participation in coordination meetings at the provincial level to ensure smooth implementation of project activities.
Conducting protection monitoring of Persons of Concern (PoCs) in different situations by applying the community-based approach and using KOBOToolbox as a data collection tool.
Planning, organizing, implementing and reporting all field level activities at the provincial level to achieve the project targets.
Promoting and Maintaining good relations with stakeholders and communities at the provincial level.
Any other relevant tasks assigned by the Project Manager in compliance with the project description.

About WSTA:Watan’s Social and Technical services Association «WSTA» is a humanitarian organization, established in 1992 for the purpose of assisting vulnerable Afghan returnees and IDPs, This organization has been registered with ministry of Economy and has the permission to work in all over the country. As well as WSTA has membership of ANCB, ACBAR and based on code No. WON and registration No. OPS-CR-0535, with estimable UNOPS office.

Job Requirements:

  • Holding a bachelor degree preferably in law and social science Experience working with national or international NGOs preferably in the protection sector Fluent in Dari and Pashto languages- intermediate knowledge of English Language (High level is a plus point) Familiarity with KOBOToolbox is a plus point
