Job Summary:

The Provincial Supervisor ensures that the most appropriate and relevant methods are used for successful project implementation

Main Functions and Responsibilities:

  • Implemented successfully all components of the projects in his area/ provinces of responsibility
  • Monthly basis field visit for multi districts/ villages which is under a particular project to insuring work done/quality/community participation / sustainability of the program/ mobilization/capacity
  • Building/training programs/ community base accountability and confirm all the proposed activities according to the program design and feasibility
  • To ensure that sustainable systems are set in place for longer term operation and maintenance of all shelters, including the provision of all necessary training
  • Ensure that the security, health and wellbeing of staff as general on the field along with security department
  • Ensure the beneficiary identity control during the distribution
  • Ensure dignity of the beneficiaries in distribution points
  • Ensure proper management of distribution centre and ensure separate space for women beneficiaries
  • Ensure the good filing of the beneficiaries’ registration lists
  • Suggest the possible improvement in terms of distribution
  • Assessing, planning and supporting to budgeting related programme activities, including the definition of objectives, staffing requirements and job descriptions, equipment, building and other needs
  • To ensure that sustainable systems are set in place for longer term operation and maintenance of all Shelters and sanitation facilities, including the provision of all necessary training
  • Assistance responsible of the planning, scheduling, monitoring and evaluation of the Shelter and other component of the projects
  • In charge of any assessment or survey relevant to the program within the particular area/province
  • Assist the Project team/log with post-tender negotiations with contractors
  • Managing field staff and team leaders, agreeing work plans, indicator and reports and ensuring they are properly trained and equipped to do their tasks
  • Problem solving activities related to a defined area, such as a limited geographical area or limited programme sectional area using professional or technical knowledge
  • To ensure that all work is carried out in a way that is sensitive to community needs and gender issues. In particular to promote the full and equal participation of women in all aspects of the work
  • Make sure compliance and transparency mechanism along with AMEU department  
  • Prepare weekly reports to the Line manager with detailing progress and challenges;
  • Any other assignment as may be required by the Technical Coordinator-Engineering or project Manager
  • Program side inputs to assist to develop technical documents to tender from the area
  • Participate/Analyse in the tender process and assist to finalize all the evaluation related to the program-Area level or as assigned by the line manager 
  • Maintain and update program files to PDD or Program folder
  • Inform line manager and coordinate with related department wherever the program facing challenges due to FLATS facilitation
  • Review all payment completion certificates prior to handing documents over to the Finance /Compliance department wherever needed as line manager guidance

Job Requirements

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor Degree in Civil Engineering/BA in business administration, social studies or relevant field; further training will be a plus
  • Five (5) years of experience in implementing WASH/Shelter related projects
  • Proficiency in English, with excellent writing skills
  • Knowledge of Microsoft office (word, excel, access, power point)
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills and problem solving skills
  • Experience in community mobilization considering the local context
  • Experience in Emergency response
  • Experience in work with Internal displaced people
  • Have already participated to assessment, monitoring and sensitization distribution activities
  • Experience in Mobile data collection will be an added value.
  • Working experience in WASH sector (especially Emergency WASH implementation)
  • Knowledge on Emergency Protection for disaster or conflict induced vulnerable people
  • Experience of protection will be an asset
